Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

Real Moments- Mother’s Day at my House!

mothersday005 Happy Mothers Day Friends!

I’m often asked what we are doing for Mother’s Day so I thought I would share here. This Mother’s day we will be at home enjoying each other like we do everyday! I was served breakfast in bed, a ritual that the children have been doing since I don’t know when. Several hand made cards were hand delivered with smiles and hugs, and Joe, along with a few of the children hand picked me wild flowers adding a few of my Iris’ to their collection.  That is my day… and most Mother’s day it looks exactly like this one! I love it! I wouldn’t change a thing about it! It is simple, it is sincere, it is meaningful for me!

The days prior to Mother’s Day my children are coming to me asking, “Mommy what do you want for Mother’s Day.” and without fail they have always heard (and will always continue to hear) “your love'; your hugs and kisses! That’s all I want!”

Each day, Joe and the children reward my hard work with their love and praise so today they just add a little “extra flare” to what they do everyday! I guess today would be of little value if it was a once a year event. I am blessed to be a wife to my Joe and the mother to these ten blessings!

So today,  I say once again, “Thank you Lord for picking me to serve your people!”

With much love,

Mrs. Joseph Wood

  1. The longer I'm a mom, the more grateful I am to serve my family! Oh for many, many more years to joyfully serve!

And Happy Mother's Day to you, too!
