Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

M.O.M.’s Mailbox- What’s Your Secret?

joy_ornament01 Question: You seem so happy with everything in your life......what is your secret?

Answer: I’m not always happy. What you see really is God at work in my life. Having a personal relationship with Him, on a daily basis, helps me go through the deepest of Valleys. Joy is a fruit of the Spirit that we must develop; happiness is simply an emotion.  I have days when I don’t feel happy. We all do! I have days when everything seems to be going wrong yet, I  must decide to set my attention on Him and count all things JOY! Even difficult times will produce a good work in my life. I KNOW who He is and what He is able to do- Nothing is impossible for our God. I understand His love for me and know that nothing can happen to me that does not first pass through His hands. I trust His heart even when I don’t understand His hands! I know that these days are just a vapor however, how I respond to these moments have eternal value. I guess what I am trying to say is that I keep my focus on eternity and not the moment at hand. In that, I find the ability to remain JOY filled!

With much love,

Mrs. Joseph Wood

  1. I am what I like to call a Pollyanna Happypants. My positive outlook tends to make others think I don't have troubles or problems. We ALL have troubles, trials, tribulations and problems, it's how we choose to look at them and deal with them that makes all the difference. CHOOSING to focus on the positives or choosing to focus on the negatives. As you said, every single thing that happens in our lives is ordained by God. He knows what He's doing even when we don't. He may choose to reveal His plan to us, or He may not, what matters is that we believe that He is leading, guiding, and loving us every step of the way! Nice post!

  2. You are so right! Joy is a choice... I've got some really joy-draining circumstances in my life right now, but God is training me to look to Him for my security and contentment even in the midst of it. Great post! ;0) Thanks for following me!
