Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

A Moment In Proverbs: Proverbs 15:3

Proverbs 15:3,
“The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.”

God is omnipotent (Revelation 19:5-7)!  What an awesome promise it is to those who are going through trials or facing hardships; and to know that God is omnipotent.  Nothing is overlooked and nothing gets by His attention (Psalms 1:6); He sees all and cares about all (Psalms 33:13-15).  But not only does He see; but the word omnipotent means He is actually in every place as well.

We sometimes forget that not only does He live in the universe, but He also lives in the heart of man and knows the intent of our heart and mind for every action, every prayer and every word we speak or don’t speak (Psalms 139:1-18).  So we have this comfort that the wicked will not go unpunished, nor the righteous go unrewarded.  Nothing is hidden from Him.  You are not alone in your suffering or rejoicing; you are not hidden when you sin; and you are not forgotten.  Once you have received Him, there is nothing that can separate you from His love (Romans 8:38-39).  Nothing can cause His eyes to stray from you.  You must remember that you are His child and He is ever watchful of you.

Prayer: We praise you, our God, as we assemble at your feet this day.  We sing hallelujah to your name for you are God omnipotent and you reign in justice and truth.  We rejoice and give you honor for the promises yet to come and for those that have already taken place.  We look forward to your Word being fulfilled in Christ’s return for your Church.  LORD, today we prepare our hearts to worship you; for you are omnipotent and your mercies endure forever.  In Jesus’ name we praise you, Amen.

Abiding Still,
