Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

A Moment in Proverbs- Proverbs 10:3 To hunger and thirst for rigtheousness

Proverbs 10:3, “The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.

Friends, he who trusts the LORD will prosper, yes, even if we see sickness, famine, hardships and death.  The LORD rewards those who trust him. Our souls belong to God and nothing can separate us from His love! Absolutely nothing! For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (see Romans 8:38-39)God’ word says that those who place their confidence in the LORD shall have a place of refuge (see Proverbs 14:26). Our confidence is in Christ, but where is the confidence of the wicked?

The wicked, or those without Christ, stumble in this dark world and even though they might find comfort in riches; their souls will be cast away in the last days. Their cravings will be for naught, they will not fill their souls.  They will remain empty.

For this reason, we can take God’s Word and share it with those who seek after the empty things of this world.  Let us be ever on guard for those in need of Christ and let us be prepared to share His Word with them so that they too will not suffer separation from God.

Prayer:  I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. I will boast only in the Lord; let all who are helpless take heart. Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt his name together. I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.  Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles. For the angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! Fear the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing. Thank you for this confidence in your Word.  In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
