Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

A Moment with M.O.M.- Fun Friday Freebie- The Ultimate Gift

Hello dear friends! I have enjoyed sharing with you this month, each Friday, offering you some fun giveaways that others have graciously offered. Today’s “giveaway” is the best gift of all! The “ultimate” gift wasn’t given today, last Friday or the Friday before that. The ultimate gift was given over 2000 years ago when God sent His only beloved son to die for our sins so that we might live with Him forever. Tomorrow we will celebrate the birth of our Savior who came to live among us, die for us, rose from the dead and will return again for us! This day is not simply the celebration of His birth but in actuality of His return. Are you ready for that day? Really ready? Are there sins you keep excusing, sins you keep ignoring, or things that have caused your eyes to become dull of Him? Dear friend, today is the day to accept the Ultimate Gift and surrender your life to His amazing, life transforming, grace!!

Come, follow me down a path that many call, “The Roman Road” for it is there on this path that we can see our need for such a gift as this, and His faithfulness to provide that gift freely for us!

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God No matter how ‘good’ you or I are, we are sinners in a desperate need for God!! We have all been born with sin no matter how ‘good’ we might be. We must admit that we are a sinner in need of a Savior!!

Romans 6: 23 The wages of sin is death… Sin has a price, a price that must be paid! The price for my sin, your sin, is DEATH! Not simply a physical death but a spiritual death that will alienate us from God for eternity! Hell is a very real place that includes a lake of fire, eternal torment,  eternal pain and eternal gnashing of teeth but the worse part of Hell is being eternally separated from God! We can not deny the price of sin! We must understand that my sin, your sin, deserves death!!

Romans 6:23 … but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord This “gift” of eternal life is free! We can’t receive this gift by our looks, works, or words! We can only receive this gift THROUGH Jesus Christ! We must acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the Way, Truth, and life and that except by Him we can not be saved. Salvation must come through Him!

Romans 5:8 God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.  I have had people tell me, “Jeanette if only you knew what I have done. There’s no way I can receive this gift.” I always remind them that He died for each us while we were yet sinners. When we were enemies of the cross He died for us! He thought about us and He did it for us!!! God desires that ALL be saved! We have been bought with a price we are no longer our own!

Romans 10:13 Whoever will all on the Name of the Lord will be saved. There are many that say you must do this or that to be saved. However, in our home we believe that you simply need to call on the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and YOU will be saved. All the other details and changes that need to be made will be made in His timing, by His power! Call on the Name of Jesus dear friend! He is waiting and ready to receive you, to call you one of His own!!

Romans 10: 9, 10 If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Once you admit that you are a sinner, that you deserve death and that through faith in Jesus Christ you can have eternal life then you need to go share the good news with others.

Prayer: Lord we know that we deserve death. We have no rights of our own, we have been bought with a price. Lord thank you for sending your son to pay the penalty for our sin. Thank you for giving us the Holy Spirit who convinces us of Truth. Thank you for the promise that one day you will return so we can live with you for eternity! We ask that you come into our hearts, transform our lives and teach us to offer up ourselves to you as a living sacrifice daily… all for your Glory! In Jesus Name we pray… amen!

If you’ve accepted this ultimate gift today, I would love to hear from you. If you have accepted Christ as your personal Savior but have not surrendered every area of your life to Him. I encourage you to do so now! For we know not what day or hour He will return!! Let each us be ready, waiting and looking for Him!

With much love,

Mrs. Joseph Wood
