Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

A Moment in Proverbs: Proverbs 2:10-11

Proverbs 2:10-11

“When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee”

Trusting in the LORD is allowing His wisdom to enter our hearts! We are taunted by the world to seek out our own wisdom and we often get caught up in this thought process and we forget that our wisdom is of nothing compared to the wisdom of the LORD. We see by this passage that there are rewards when we seek after the heart of our LORD and trusting Him will lead us to understanding, discretion and peace.

Putting your trust in someone means that you are convinced that your expectations will be fulfilled. We can do just this when we put our trust in Him. We can know that our expectations will be fulfilled for our benefit and according to His mercy and grace.

Prayer: LORD, we know that you are trustworthy; we know because you have proven yourself time and again. Your ways are perfect and your Word is tried and true. LORD you are our shield and we can trust that you will protect us. LORD, you are our Rock! In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
