Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

A Moment with M.O.M.- Happy Thanksgiving Friends!

I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United states to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November as a day of thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens.” President Abraham Lincoln

Happy Thanksgiving Friends!!!

We pray that each of us are filled with hearts of gratitude for His character! Some of you will join with family, others with friends and some will no doubt find yourselves alone. We pray that no matter where you are or who you’re with, you are ever aware of His presence and His goodness! A very Happy Thanksgiving from every member of our family including my precious parents.

We have some fun upcoming events happening at A Moment with M.O.M. it is our hope that they encourage you in your walk with the Lord, bless you in both Spiritual and practical matters alike, and simply remind you of His goodness. Let me give you just a peek…

prudent living Momma and I have written a daily devotion called, Seasons of Prudent Living. It is a daily devotion, prayer and includes a practical application challenge as well as a prudent tip for you to utilize. This devotion was created with the holidays in mind and will be available free of charge for you to download on Friday after Thanksgiving and will take you till Christmas Eve. Tandy Hogate and Cyndi Sell will be hosting a daily conversation on each devotion over at their Facebook Fan Page. They want each of you to know you are invited to join fellowship! To participate with a great group of women click HERE. I look forward to ‘popping’ in from time to time and joining you!

th_Christmas07191My oldest daughter, Bekah, will be joining us at A Moment with M.O.M by hosting our “Moment in the Kitchen.” When Bekah cooks at our home we refer to the kitchen as “Bekah’s Bistro”.  She is talented and creative! Come back and visit us to see Bekah’s creativity take full color in the kitchen! Lord willing, you will be encouraged to create some memories and delicious meals in the kitchen with and for your family!

presents We are delighted to host a few giveaways over these next few weeks. I invited each of these sponsors to share with you, having full confidence that you would be blessed by the treasures they have to offer! Come back often to see what’s available! Each contest will list the deadlines and rules. I will tell you that the only qualification needed is to leave a comment here on the blog letting me know you’re interested in participating AND to “like” them on Facebook. If you’re a new reader that hasn’t sent me your email address you’ll need to do that so I can notify you that you did indeed win. At that time, I will request your mailing address (if needed) so that your gift can be mailed to you. I do hope that you our blessed by these resources!

Do you enjoy shopping with other Christian families? I know I do! I love to support my Brothers and Sisters in Christ! This year A Moment with M.O.M. will be spotlighting businesses for you to consider shopping with. These are personal friends or families we have grown to love through our online interaction! We are confident you will find a variety of sites to visit with confidence that you are working with others who live to glorify Him!

‎"Thou hast given so much to me, give one thing more, -- a grateful heart; Not thankful when it pleaseth me, as if Thy blessings had spare days, But such as a heart whose pulse may be Thy praise." George herbert

Until our next chat, may all HIS blessings abound in your heart and home… all for HIS glory!

With much love,

Mrs. Joseph Wood
