Proverbs 10:12, “Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.”
Love overcomes all things. The cross of love overcame our sins through Christ’s redemptive work and this is the greatest love to mankind. Hatred stirs up strife between individuals, communities and nations, but love overcomes even this. Keeping God’s Word in our hearts is our means of overcoming the burdens of this world and the only way to do this is to put our faith in action through love. Loving God and abiding in Him is the only way to win our battles against this world’s enticements.
Friends we are reminded in 1 Corinthians 13 that Love is longsuffering, it is kind, it does not envy, it is not proud, it is not foolish, it doesn’t seek its best interest, but rather the interest of others, it is not provoked easily, it doesn’t rejoice in iniquity but in truth, it bears, believes, hopes and endures all things and Love never fails. We are called to love one another and to believe upon Jesus. Let us remember that love covers the sins of all who offend God; for God is Love.
