Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

A Moment in Proverbs 30:5

Proverbs 30:5

“Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.”

A theme for this week will be putting our trust in Him. We have this confidence that God is righteous and just and every word of God is pure, and for this reason we can put our trust in Him! With all the technology and higher education we receive today, we can be caught off-guard and believe that we are being lead by “knowledge”, but we would be fools to put our trust in man’s wisdom. God’s Words are the only true and pure words of wisdom that we can live by.

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether (see Psalms 19:7-9).

Remember as you are enticed with the words of man and beckoned to the Word of the LORD; that all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works (see 2Titus 3:16-17). God’s Word is what we must set our hearts and minds upon.

Prayer: Thank you for the excellence of your Word. Thank you Father that we can come to you and learn all that is needed to stand in these times. LORD, as we trust in you, we will find you to be our shield against the fiery darts of the enemy. We look to you this day to be our shield and defender. Bring to remembrance your perfect Word in our times of need. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
