Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

A Moment in Proverbs- Proverbs 11:30

Proverbs 11: 30

“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.”

How do we become a tree of life? Have you ever met someone who exuded sweet fruit in their words, actions and prayers? Have you sought after righteousness in your own life so that you too would become a tree of life to others?

Let’s think on the purpose of a fruit bearing tree; it’s to receive refreshment, sustenance and protection from the harshness of the heat of the day. Like King David said in Psalms 1 about those who delight in the law of the LORD and meditate upon it day and night; that he is one who is like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth fruit in season and there is no withering but whatever he does prospers.

When we delight in God’s law and we meditate upon it; we become a tree of life that offers the fruit others need for their journey. Let us seek after His Word today so that we too can be like trees planted by the rivers of water.
