Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

A Moment in M.O.M.'s Kitchen- Flaky Biscuits

My dear Joe just loves a good breakfast! I have tried to convince him that healthy smoothies in the morning are a complete breakfast but he's not buying it! My Joe loves an 'old fashion, farm style breakfast'! Home made, Flaky, buttermilk biscuits are always part of his menu request. So, in honor of my Joe, today I share with you the biscuits that we enjoy here in our home. Enjoy!

8 Cups flour (I especially like to use 1/2 fresh ground wheat and the other part white flour)
1/3 Cup Baking Powder
2 Tsp salt
3/4 Cup Coconut Oil
4 Cup Raw goat/cow milk (I use whatever I have the most of on hand)

First mix all your dry ingredients then add your coconut oil until crumby. Add milk and mix being careful not to over mix. Roll out on a floured surface and cut out being careful not to twist the cutter (this seals the edges and keeps them from raising as large as they would normally). Place on a cookie sheet, I like to use my stoneware from Pampered Chef. A trick I learned from my momma is to place the biscuits close together, touching, so that they will rise 'up' instead of 'out' sideways. Bake at 450 for 10-15 mins.

Enjoy!
Mrs. Joseph Wood
