Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

A Moment of Proverbs 7/29/09

Proverbs 29:25

The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe

Teaching our children to care about God’s approval more than their friend's approval is critical! We must cultivate an atmosphere where children are striving to walk out their faith confidently even when others chose differently! Fearing, or concerning ourselves with what others think of us only brings agony- it is a snare! People change, ideas change, styles change, language changes but God remains the same. Watch what motivates your child. Are they motivated by the Spirit of God or by what their friends think of them? Then take time to talk to them on the dangers of finding self worth in the opinions of others. We must develop our character and make our daily decisions based off of our relationship with Christ. Only then we will find Physical, Emotional and Spiritual safety!
