Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

A Moment in Proverbs 7/2/09

Proverbs 2: 1-5
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.

Doing what's right doesn't just happen magically. We must teach our children (and ourselves) that we don't just wake up and carelessly go about our day. We must wake up and purposely dedicate ourselves to searching for wisdom, getting understanding and coming to a knowledge of God! In fact we are to search for it as if it was a hidden treasure. If you don't purpose to do what is right you'll find yourself doing what is wrong without any effort at all!
