Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

A Moment In Proverbs: Proverbs 8 14

Proverbs 8:14,

“Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.”

Have you ever thought about what Christ reflects?  He is the wisdom and power of God!  He is the sound wisdom we must seek to carry us through our daily walk and he is the power of God to carry us through any circumstance we might face.

Christ is known as Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). He is the Wisdom of the ages and he desires to show us the riches of his grace (Ephesians 2:7-8). And by him we are saved through faith!

Christ is understanding; through his word we gain all understanding needed to walk upright before him and we gain strength in resisting temptation’s hold upon our flesh as we seek his counsel. It is he that makes us perfect in every good work to do his will, working in us what is well pleasing in his sight; all to bring Glory and Honor to the name of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 13:21).

Prayer: Hear our voice, O LORD: we ask that you give us understanding according to thy word. We lean upon your heart, let us hear your gentle voice as we meditate upon your precepts.  LORD, we call to you to show us how to live so that every work we do is your good work.  We desire to be pleasing in your sight.  In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

Abiding Still,
