Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

A Moment In Proverbs: Proverbs 4:18

Proverbs 4:18,
“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”

The way of the righteousness is light.  Jesus said “I am the Light of the World” (John 8:12).  So as we live justly by the light we reflect the light of Christ.  In him was life and the life was the light of men.  And those that walk in darkness can’t understand (John 1:4-5). When God establishes His Word in our hearts, light (understanding) is shown across our path.  We begin being guided by the word as a lamp unto our feet (Psalms 119:105). We walk in the light as He is in the Light (1John 1:6-7 & Revelation 21:23-25).

Remember the song “This little light of mine”? It must shine; we must let our light shine so that it glorifies God in Heaven, not for our own glory, but so that the world will know who sent Him (Matthew 5:16).  When we walk in the light of His Word we have a security and a serenity of mind that the world cannot know without Him.  Friends, this light is ever-growing and ever-shinning more and more, because it is not like the light of a candle that burns dim; it is like the rising sun that continues to brighten our planet day after day.  It brings us joy each day as we walk in the light and it brings honor to the Father as we continue to walk there in. And in the last day we shall see the light of His face and rejoice ever more (Matthew 13:43).

So therefore, walk in the Light as Christ brought us the light and honor God your Holy Father.  Abide in Him and He will abide in you.

Prayer: Father, we commit our way unto the LORD; we trust also in him; and have confidence that He shall bring it to pass all that He has promised.  And He shall bring forth righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. We will rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him: we will not fret because of those who prosper in their wicked devices. We will walk in the light and we will trust the light to guide us and protect us.  In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

Abiding Still,
