Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

Real Moments- Busy days on the farm

Life’s been busy with lots of changes for the Wood family. Let’s see if I can sum it all up here.

I’ve been busy writing classes for our new Simple Living Made Simple Series. This is a series of books I am writing to assist others in their homesteading adventure. If you’re interested in learning how to make your own breads, cheese, gardening, living off the grid, caring for animals and other skills from the “Good ‘Ol Days.” let me know and I will make sure that Beth-Joy puts you on her email list. Bekah is working on getting the real life classes we do on video so that you can have the live instruction with the written course. It is an honor to share all we have learned over the years of living off the grid with others. I am prayerfully considering putting my journal from those years into a book form as well. We will see how the Lord leads. OH! Beth-Joy is doing a drawing for one of our classes, if you live locally, or one of our courses, once they are published, free of charge for anyone that writes a customer comment that we can put on our Covenant Ranch website. She will put everyone’s names into a hat and have her little brothers (Sammy and Matthew) draw out the winner. Make sure you participate and send your feedback about, Moment’s with M.O.M or our farm right away.Deadline to share your comment with us is July 28th; I will post the winner on August 1st.  All these activities are on top of our normal busy days of caring for one another and all that God has given us. We are blessed!

We have had several visits from friends out of state that have made the month of July a real treat for the Wood family. Knowing that others would care enough to take time out of the schedule and funds out of their budget to visit us is humbling. How blessed we are to be loved by so many wonderful families!

I am getting ready for our school year as well. Even though we do school year around I must enter my lessons into the planner. I personally use and appreciate the Homeschool Tracker. I have used this system for the last several years. I find that their customer service is wonderful and the program is very detailed. It takes a bit to set up but once it is, it is well worth the time! The children are excited as we review our goals for this upcoming year. I am excited to see what God is going to do in each of us. I know it is a good work that only He can complete!

Joe will be leaving his current employer and begin hauling loads for himself. We are honored to be able to deliver for Azure Standard to the KS, MO, AR, OK and TX area. If you are in any of these areas and would like to get healthy food at affordable prices you don’t want to miss shopping with Azure. We have shopped with them for the last 13 years and enjoyed the food they make available! If you have questions feel free to ask me and I’ll try to find the answers for you. I do have the contact information available to anyone that lives in the states above and would like to see if there is a drop site near you.

Mom is doing well after discovering she had a terrible staph infection and needed to be on IV' meds. She thought she just didn’t feel well but didn’t know she was that sick. Her life has changed since the cancer and she must be diligent to watch her body for signs and then get to the doctor right away and not put it off. Dad is doing good. He continues to fight Parkinson's and refuses to stop in fear that it will get the best of him. I look forward to the day they both are living here on the property with us.  What a blessing both my parents are to us!

Well, the pancakes are needing my attention and my coffee is almost done! I’ve enjoyed sharing with you all and look forward to hearing what the Lord is doing in your homes too!

Because of His love,

Mrs. Joseph Wood
