“Good Morning Lord!”
Psalm 5: 3
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee and will look up.
The Lord never slumbers. He is eagerly waiting to greet us each morning. Consider how would you feel if you had waited and watched over someone you loved all night? As you see them start to stir, you get excited at the opportunity to share with them. There is so much ahead in the day, so many opportunities and challenges that you want to talk with them about. You know they will doubt your ability and not feel your presence. You desperately want them to know that you have nothing but good plans for them that day. As you get ready to say, “Good Morning” you notice that they appear blind to your presence, deaf to your voice and to busy to consider your worth. Can you picture the disappointment? You rush around behind them trying to call out their name but they still can’t hear you. The day events seem to be too loud for them to hear your small, still voice. Nonetheless you continue to wait for them to recognize their need for you … and you wait… and wait… and wait….and…. wait!
Friends, the Father is waiting to have an intimate and personal relationship with each of us. He guards us and watches over us each moment of the day, whether we recognize Him or not. He wants to be our strength and our strong tower, our mighty counselor and our friend. He wants to be our God and for us to be His people! Take time to say, “Good Morning Lord!” You’ll be surprised at what the Lord will do in your life when you direct your heart’s attention toward Him! First thing in the morning, place your expectation in Him! Then, and only then will you find strength for the Journey!

Thank you so much for the affirmation and encouragement. Every morning when I awake I tell Him good morning and then I remind myself of His faithfulness to me over the years. I put myself in remembrance of all that He's done for me. Both at the cross and over the years of my life. He's been so good to me, I have nothing to worry about! Thank you!!

I am always so excited in the mornings to get those stale breath kisses and messy haired hugs from my little ones...I can't imagine if they did not come to me for their morning hug! Thank you for this sweet picture of us before God's throne - I think you just gave me inspiration for Thursday's blog - thanks!
